Banding Wheels

Banding wheels are an essential piece of equipment for potters. A banding wheel is used to turn, shape and smooth clay so it can be formed into a variety of different shapes and designs. The potter sits at the wheel and spins it using their hands or foot while guiding the clay with their fingers or tools. The spinning motion of the wheel creates centrifugal force, which helps to shape and smooth the clay as it is being worked. Banding wheels are a great tool for creating even and symmetrical shapes that can be used in a variety of pottery projects. They enable potters to create intricate designs with ease and precision. Banding wheels are also an important piece of safety equipment when working with sharp tools and materials. They help to keep hands away from moving parts as well as preventing clay from being thrown off the wheel during use. Banding wheels come in a variety of sizes, shapes, and materials so potters can find one that is perfect for their needs.
