Cobalt Carbonate

Description
Cobalt Carbonate – CoCO3 (m.p. 1661o F/905o C) is used as a colorant to produce blues in glazes and can present purples when manganese is present. This compound is sometimes preferred over the Oxide form due to its particle size. Cobalt Oxide can substitute for the Carbonate form if used in one-half the given amount.
